What must He think when He looks upon
The strife that I have wrought?
Can He tell I've learned a single thing
From the lessons that He taught?
Does it seem to Him my fondest wish
Is to see Him glorified?
Or does selfish ambition usurp the blood
He so willingly sacrificed?
What about love, and faith, and hope,
And bearing with one another?
Did His teachings fall on deafened ears?
Have I forgotten to love my brother?
What must He think when He looks upon
This little lamb gone astray?
"I'll teach her the lesson one more time,
Maybe she'll listen today."

Let us therefore follow after the things which
make for peace, and things wherewith one
may edify another. (Romans 14:19)
