We should never take it for granted,
This precious Holy Book;
For it contains the key to life,
And all that is right and good.
Though other books will fall by the way,
With God’s Word it will never be so;
And if we choose to forsake it,
Therein lies the beginning of woe.
Let us cherish this dear old Book
As the treasure of treasures it is,
And give Him our solemn word
That we will not forget His.
