The perfect gift was given
Two thousand years ago;
A tiny babe on a bed of hay,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes.
No tinsel-laden tree,
No bright red Christmas bow;
Just a tiny little babe,
From a Father who loved Him so.
God gives the gift of life
To all who would believe;
Because the perfect gift was placed
In a manger, not underneath a tree.
