The Golden Years

And now you're in the "golden years",
You finally have it all.
A house, a car, a summer home,
Hawaii in the fall.

But where are all those moments,
Those that slipped away?
The ones that seemed like hours,
In the midst of a long, hard day.

And why the empty feeling
When the world says you're richly blessed?
Can it be there's something more you seek
Without which there can be no rest?

Friend , there really is a God
Who speaks to a searching heart;
He can truly give you golden years
Through the peace that He imparts.

Grace and peace to you from God the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 1:2)
