Speak To My Heart

Speak to my heart, Lord,
To the shadows within;
Where still dwells the spirit
Of darkness and sin.

Speak to my heart, Lord,
-- The part I still keep;
That I have not surrendered,
From which evil creeps.

Speak to my heart, Lord;
Search deep within,
And sweep it completely
Of darkness and sin.

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
