When I shared my burden with her
And I poured out my heart that day,
She didn't have answers to all my whys
But she stood in the gap and prayed.
She didn't just give some advice
And send me along on my way;
Instead she took time to listen,
Then stood in the gap and prayed.
I know the Lord must be watching
And will reward her in Heaven someday,
For the caring she showed to another
When she stood in the gap and prayed.
