All He desired was some fish and bread,
But Martha would have no such thing!
Instead, she busied herself right away
To prepare a meal fit for a king.
Martha fretted and fumed at her sister
As she busied herself in the kitchen;
While she worked hard to prepare a meal,
Mary just sat and listened!
Martha couldn't understand
Why Jesus didn't seem to care
That while she prepared a feast for Him,
Mary rested beside Him there.
Finally, anger got the best of her,
So she went to Him to complain;
"Master, she's left all the work to me!"
And she pointed at Mary with disdain.
"Martha, Martha", he replied to her,
"You are troubled, that I can see.
But Mary has chosen the better part --
For she's chosen to spend time with Me."

And Jesus answered and said to her,
"Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled
about many things. But one thing is needed,
and Mary has chosen that good part, which will
not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:41-42)
