When I’m passing through uncharted waters,
And in danger of going astray,
I look to the Lord and He guides me;
He’s there with me, leading the way.
When I’m faced with a strong temptation
And I’m struggling to hold it at bay,
I know He will help me to flee it;
He goes before me, leading the way.
When my vision is blurred by the fog,
And night has overtaken the day,
I grasp for His hand and He guides me;
He’s right there, always leading the way.
The dark times of life are less threatening
Since He taught me this lesson one day –
That Jesus goes ever before me,
He’s always there, always leading the way.
