If God answered all my prayers,
If He always answered yes,
My life would be worse, not better,
If He granted my every request.
If I always received what I asked for,
How would I ever know
That He had something better
Farther down the road?
So I'll just keep on praying
And trust that He knows best;
For I'm sometimes blessed the most
When His answer isn't yes.
