All the trials and sorrows
That come to us in life
Are allowed by a loving Father,
Though we often wonder why.
Every heartache, every hardship,
Comes to us through Him;
He leads us through the valley,
Then to the mountaintop again.
And all that He permits
Is filtered through His love;
We can trust Him on life's journey,
Even when the road gets rough.
For He will never give us
More than our hearts can bear;
So keep walking on in faith,
And remember, He knows and cares.
