Get yourself an anchor
Before you leave the shore;
When the sea becomes forbidding,
That's what the anchor's for.
When your ship is tossed about
Upon life's stormy waves,
Your anchor will secure you
Though the winds about you rage.
So before you start your journey
And venture from the shore,
Get yourself a mighty anchor
In Jesus Christ, the Lord.
