Like a child given a choice
Between a penny and a dime,
I clutched my penny tightly
In this childish hand of mine.
I was fooled by the penny's size,
And held it firmly in my grasp;
I was content with what I held,
For what more could I ask?
I thought that little penny
Was the better of the two;
But God, in His great wisdom,
Knew that wasn't true.
From my tightly clasped hand
He pried what I thought best,
To replace it with something better
And now I'm much more blessed.
Are you grasping in your hand today
A meager little penny?
If you'll open up your hand to Him,
He'll replace your little with plenty!

no mind has conceived what God has
prepared for those who love Him.
